Challenges overcome
The existing concrete driveway had cracked badly and pooled water against the garage. The clients wanted a warm, timeless finish to complement their rendered façade — and the work completed before a family wedding.
Installation process
We excavated the failed slab, installed a new engineered sub-base with an open-graded asphalt binder course, and laid 18mm of UV-stable Chelsea Gold aggregate, edged in silver granite setts. An ACO channel now intercepts surface water at the garage threshold.
Before & after results
A seamless, fully permeable entrance completed two weeks ahead of the wedding. The clients have since commissioned a matching rear patio.
