We're increasingly called to drives where a previous tarmac or block-paving install has caused surface water to run onto the highway or into a neighbour's garden. Resin bound is often the cleanest fix.
How permeable resin solves ponding
Because water passes through the surface and into the sub-base, there is nowhere for it to pool. Every drop soaks vertically instead of flowing sideways to the lowest point.
Case: Cambridge neighbour dispute
A Cambridge homeowner's tarmac drive was funneling rain into a neighbour's front garden. We overlaid the tarmac with a permeable base plus resin bound surface. Run-off eliminated, dispute resolved, no planning issue.
Case: Peterborough soakaway retrofit
A Peterborough new-build had a failing block-paved drive with no drainage provision. We installed a lined soakaway crate under the resin base and resurfaced. Building control signed off on the SuDS solution the same week.
Case: Huntingdon listed cottage
A Grade II cottage in Huntingdon couldn't have visible drainage channels. A hidden linear drain plus resin bound overlay preserved the sightlines while solving the flooding.
